A Vox podcast episode revisits a deceptively simple question: what color is a tennis ball? While officially branded as optic yellow since 1972, many people confidently call it green, and others see it as yellow-green. The discussion explores how perception differs between individuals and why the brain categorizes borderline colors differently, sparking familiar arguments among listeners.
Why now: The yellow-versus-green debate is a recurring viral topic that resurfaces whenever perception science is discussed.
