Poll asks whether voters back good candidates or oppose bad ones
Original: Is it more important to vote for good candidates or against bad candidates? # EvanPoll # poll # elections # democracy
A poll circulating on social media is asking voters a simple question: is it more important to vote for good candidates, or to vote against bad ones? The question taps a familiar debate in democratic politics, where supporters often struggle between enthusiastic backing for a preferred candidate and strategic voting to block an unacceptable alternative. Responses so far are modest, but the framing has struck a chord with people reflecting on how to vote when no option is ideal.
Why now: Voters regularly debate strategic versus positive voting, especially around election periods.
