Lions 11-10 in Kelvin Sheppard's 21 Games as Coordinator

Original: The Lions Are 11-10 in Kelvin Sheppard’s 21 Games

Detroit Lions linebacker-turned-defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard has overseen 21 games that produced an 11-10 record. The split highlights a mixed stretch for a defense that has fluctuated between strong and inconsistent performances since he took over play-calling duties. Supporters point to injuries and growing pains, while critics note the unit has not clearly elevated the team's results.

Why now: Fans are debating whether the defense's middling record reflects on Sheppard's play-calling and development as a first-time coordinator.
