Sony Quietly Revises PS5 Slim Internals Without Announcement
Original: Sony Quietly Revised the PS5 Slim’s Internals Without Any Public Announcement
Sony has reportedly made changes to the internal hardware of the PS5 Slim without telling the public. The revision was spotted by reviewers tracking the console's components, a practice common to console manufacturing where parts like cooling, storage or chip layouts get swapped over time. Gamers are discussing whether the changes affect performance, repairability or noise levels, and whether buyers should care which version they get.
Why now: Hardware revisions affect performance and repairability, and buyers dislike silent changes to products they own
