A developer is working on improved syncing with Hardcover, the book-tracking platform, so that reading statuses, ratings and reading dates stay consistent in both directions. The update would let a reader's Hardcover shelf and their personal commonplace book stay aligned automatically without manual effort. The project is being shared publicly as part of a build-in-public approach, attracting interest from the book-tracking and reading community.
Why now: Readers who track books across multiple tools want their statuses, ratings and dates to stay consistent automatically.
Evidence
- On the workbench: a better Hardcover sync. Status, ratings and reading dates kept in step in both directions, so the shelf you keep there and the commonplace book you keep here agree without you thinking about it. # buildinpublic # books # reading # bookstodon · ethanOS@infosec.exchange · 3
