Apple TV has ordered a second season of the thriller Imperfect Women. Taking a spinoff approach, the new season will follow Eleanor, one of the limited series' three central characters, played by Kerry Washington. The first season was framed as a limited series, so the move to continue with a single character's story marks a notable shift in how the anthology-style thriller will develop.

Why now: A limited series being renewed as a character-driven spinoff is an unusual and noteworthy programming decision.
