Victor Davis Hanson criticizes double standard on Islamist immigrants
Original: Victor Davis Hanson: The Double Standard of Islamist Immigrants Who Attack America
Commentator Victor Davis Hanson argues there is a double standard in how Islamist immigrants who attack America are treated, claiming such attacks receive less scrutiny than other violence and that immigration policy fails to address the threat. The remarks have drawn heavy attention and are fueling debate over immigration, security vetting and how Western governments respond to radicalization among newcomers.
Why now: Ongoing controversy over immigration and security following violent attacks keeps the commentary trending.
