Matthew Teller's new book Finding Aladdin is circulating in advance copies ahead of publication. An early reader says the book examines the Aladdin story and its history, noting that Teller references Lotte Reiniger's 1926 Adventures of Prince Achmed, the oldest surviving animated feature film. The reader recalls first seeing that film at Edinburgh's Filmhouse cinema and says the book's connections to animation history are a highlight.
