Dodgers bar Pages from using ABS challenges after NLDS miss

Original: Dodgers, Roberts bar Pages from using ABS challenges after NLDS Game 1 miss https://www. mlb.com/news/andy-pages-barred

The Los Angeles Dodgers and manager Dave Roberts have barred outfielder Andy Pages from using automated ball-strike challenges for the rest of the NLDS after a failed challenge in Game 1. Dodgers hitters generally used the ABS system well during the 2026 regular season, ranking among the better teams by most measures, making Pages' miss and the team's decision a talking point as the series continues.

Why now: The automated strike-zone challenge system is new and high-stakes in the playoffs, so a team restricting its own player's use is unusual and debate-worthy.
