Influencer filmed riding sea turtle while it laid eggs in Oman

Original: Once again, # useless # influencers being # assholes . > In Case You Still Have Faith in Humanity, Here’s an Influencer

An influencer in Oman posted footage of herself sitting on a sea turtle while the animal was trying to lay eggs, drawing widespread condemnation online. Critics called the stunt a clear example of influencers prioritising viral content over wildlife protection, since nesting turtles are highly vulnerable to disturbance and many countries, including Oman, restrict contact with them.

Why now: People are reacting angrily to wildlife harassment committed for social media attention.
