House Oversight Committee touts wins for American taxpayers
Original: ICYMI: Chairman Comer’s Oversight Committee Racks Up Wins for American Taxpayers
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer's office is highlighting what it calls a series of wins for American taxpayers, in a news roundup circulated by the committee. The release frames the panel's investigations and oversight work as delivering concrete results on spending and accountability. The claims come from the committee itself, and no independent assessment of the record is included.
Why now: The committee is actively promoting its record, likely to build support for its oversight agenda.
