Open-source tool deletes 12GB of Apple Intelligence data on macOS

Original: An open-source tool lets you delete 12GB of Apple Intelligence data on macOS

An open-source tool called RemoveMacAI lets Mac users switch off Apple Intelligence entirely and delete Apple's on-device AI models, potentially freeing up more than 12GB of storage. The tool highlights how much space Apple's AI features consume, and it is drawing attention from Mac users who never asked for the models and would rather reclaim the disk space than keep them installed.

Why now: Users are reacting to how much storage Apple Intelligence takes up and want a simple way to remove it
