Swiss climate grannies to meet Czech supporters in Prague and Brno

Original: Když babičky žalují stát aneb setkání se švýcarskými klimababičkami v ČR Otevřená zahrada, středa 21. října v 17:00 SELČ

The Swiss KlimaSeniorinnen, who won their climate lawsuit against Switzerland at the European Court of Human Rights, are visiting the Czech Republic. A public meeting titled 'When grannies sue the state' takes place at Otevřená zahrada in Prague on Wednesday 21 October at 5pm CEST, with events also planned in Brno. The Czech initiative Klimatická žaloba and the group Klimababičky are hosting the visit, drawing on the Swiss women's legal victory to support their own climate litigation efforts.

Why now: The Swiss women's landmark court victory has inspired climate litigation groups across Europe, and their Czech visit offers supporters a chance to hear about it directly.
