Google admits some complex Android apps run poorly on Intel Chromebooks
Original: Google admits some 'complex' Android apps run poorly on Intel Googlebooks https://www.engadget.com/2277034/google-admits
Google has acknowledged that some complex Android apps do not run well on Intel-based Chromebooks, a problem tied to how apps built for ARM chips behave when translated for Intel processors. The admission matters for Chromebook owners who rely on Android apps from the Play Store, and it highlights ongoing compatibility work Google still needs to do to make the experience consistent across hardware.
Why now: Google's public acknowledgment of app compatibility problems on Intel Chromebooks is newsworthy for Chromebook users and Android developers.
