Pastor says US state 'hijacked' by 'toxic empathy' for LGBTQ people
Original: Once again another example of that kind, inclusive, welcoming caring # Christian love we keep hearing about. > MAGA hate
A pastor aligned with the MAGA movement has claimed that a US state has been 'hijacked' by 'toxic empathy' for LGBTQ people, prompting sharp criticism online. Commenters are highlighting the remark as an example of hostility from religious right figures, sarcastically contrasting it with the inclusive and caring values Christianity is said to promote.
Why now: The pastor's 'toxic empathy' comment is being shared and criticised as another instance of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric from MAGA-aligned religious figures.
