US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is facing criticism over a tactic in Minnesota in which detained immigrants are ordered released by federal judges, only to be immediately re-detained by ICE agents, often outside the courthouse. Why now: Reports that ICE is circumventing judicial release orders have sparked outrage over due process and the limits of immigration enforcement.
