Hardeep Singh Puri left off BJP's Rajya Sabha candidate list

Original: hardeep singh puri

The BJP has announced eight candidates for upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri is not among the names. The Indian Express reported the list, prompting discussion about whether the senior minister, who holds key portfolios including petroleum and natural gas, may be omitted from the upper house or renominated later. Party reasons for the decision have not been explained in the report.

Why now: A senior Union minister's absence from the party's Rajya Sabha list raises questions about his political future and the BJP's strategy.
