A satirical account has launched a bot nicknamed 'Lie-a-tollah', mocking former US president Donald Trump's statements as habitual falsehoods. The creator jokingly pleads 'this is satire, not sedition', a nod to the political and legal tensions surrounding Trump and his supporters. The gag has drawn small but amused engagement from US politics watchers online.
Why now: Ongoing controversy and legal scrutiny around Trump keep satire about his truthfulness circulating.
