Touring production of 'The Outsiders' opens to mixed review
Original: Review: Musical performances and glorious staging rescue touring production of ‘The Outsiders’
A touring stage production of 'The Outsiders' has been reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, which found that strong musical performances and impressive staging made up for weaknesses elsewhere in the show. The musical, adapted from S.E. Hinton's novel, is on the road following its Broadway run, and the review suggests its visual and vocal strengths carry the touring version.
Why now: The touring production is currently playing and theatre audiences are following reviews as it moves between cities.
