Xiaomi 18 Ultra reportedly canceled over high costs

Original: This ‘Ultra’ flagship looked like a spec monster, but no one will be able to buy it Xiaomi seemingly canceled the Xiaomi

Xiaomi has seemingly canceled its upcoming 18 Ultra flagship smartphone before launch, according to a report from Android Authority. The device had leaked with impressive specifications, but sources indicate the phone would have been too expensive to bring to market. That means consumers would never have been able to buy it, and the company has chosen to scrap the project rather than release an overpriced device.

Why now: Reports that a highly anticipated spec-heavy flagship has been canceled for cost reasons are surprising and disappointing to tech fans.
