EU Embassies to Keep Operating in Kyiv
Original: All European Union Embassies will continue to operate in Kyiv
The European External Action Service has announced that all European Union member state embassies will continue to operate in Kyiv. The statement signals a coordinated decision by the EU to maintain its full diplomatic presence in Ukraine's capital rather than temporarily suspend operations or relocate staff. It comes amid ongoing security concerns in the country, and is being read as a show of continued European support for Ukraine and confidence in the safety of diplomatic staff there.
Why now: The EU's public commitment to keeping embassies open in wartime Kyiv signals solidarity with Ukraine amid ongoing security concerns.
