Postal voting draws attention in Spain
Original: voto por correo
Searches and discussion around postal voting (voto por correo) are rising in Spain, with many people looking up how to request and cast their ballot by mail ahead of an election. Maldita.es, a Spanish fact-checking outlet, is also debunking false claims circulating around elections, including an AI-generated video falsely presented as real, underscoring concern about misinformation alongside the practical interest in mail-in voting.
Why now: Interest spikes around elections, when voters check how to vote by post and false content circulates online.
