Original: Motion # OpenSource dans les écoles Vaudoises : Maintenant https:// popvaud.ch/2026/09/30/motion-v incent-keller-et-cons
A motion before the Vaud cantonal parliament, backed by Vincent Keller and other councillors, urges schools in the Swiss canton to adopt free and open source software. Supporters frame it as a matter of digital sovereignty, arguing public education should not depend on proprietary vendors and calling for the change to happen now rather than later.
Why now: Debate over digital sovereignty and public money going to proprietary software vendors is gaining traction in Switzerland.
