The Green Party of England and Wales has reportedly voted overwhelmingly in favour of boycotting Israel, making it the first major UK party to do so. The story, reported by left-wing outlets Skwawkbox and The Canary, is circulating widely in UK politics and Palestine-focused discussions, with supporters framing it as a landmark stance and critics likely to challenge the move.
Why now: It marks the first time a major UK party has backed a boycott of Israel, amid ongoing debate over the Israel-Gaza war.
