Zak Butters at the centre of AFL trade period talk
Original: zak butters
Western Bulldogs list boss Michael Reegan has moved to shut down speculation about Zak Butters, saying the club's priority during the trade period lies elsewhere. Fox Sports reports the reality around Butters has been laid bare, with a rival option lingering even as the Dogs ruled out a trade play. The comments came on day one of the AFL trade period, which overlaps with the free agency window where heavyweight deals loom large. Fans are weighing up whether any club move for the star remains realistic.
Why now: The AFL trade period has just opened and speculation over Butters' future is one of the biggest storylines.
