Feiglin urges Gaza annexation, says he wants Gaza empty
Original: ‘I want to see Gaza empty’: Feiglin calls for annexation of Strip in next gov’t
Israeli far-right politician Moshe Feiglin said he wants to see Gaza empty, calling for the annexation of the Gaza Strip by Israel's next government. His remarks, reported by The Jerusalem Post, add to contentious debate inside Israel over Gaza's future, its displaced Palestinian population, and potential territorial control after the war.
Why now: His openly radical proposal about Gaza's future is inflaming an ongoing Israeli political debate over postwar policy.
