'Coyote vs. Acme' Hits $100 Million After Warner Bros. Shelving
Original: 'Coyote vs. Acme' Earns $100 Million, Proves David Zaslav Wrong https:// variety.com/2026/film/box-offi ce/coyote-vs-acm
The shelved Looney Tunes film 'Coyote vs. Acme' has earned $100 million, a result critics say vindicates backlash against Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav, who scrapped the completed movie for a tax write-down. Commentators are framing the box office performance as proof the decision to bury the film was a costly mistake.
Why now: The film's strong earnings directly contradict the studio's decision to cancel it, reviving debate over Zaslav's leadership.
