Original: Migrants head to Kent for processing after protesters gathered in Gosport https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/gospo

Migrants who arrived at Gosport in Hampshire are being taken to Kent for processing, the Standard reports, after protesters gathered in the town in connection with an RNLI-linked arrival and Home Office handling. The move has renewed debate over where asylum seekers are processed and how local communities respond to small-boat arrivals.

Why now: Fresh protest activity and the transfer of migrants to Kent have reignited public debate over asylum processing and local opposition.
