Braves choose bullpen over Chris Sale for Game 2 start
Original: Braves go with their bullpen, not Sale on short rest, to start Game 2
The Atlanta Braves have decided to open Game 2 of their playoff series with a bullpen game rather than bring back ace Chris Sale on short rest. The move prioritizes the left-hander's health and availability later in the series, and is drawing attention from baseball fans debating whether managers should lean on short rest for their top starters in October.
