Original: Gillian Anderson responds to backlash after telling 'distracting' fans to stop sitting in front row https://www.theguard
Actress Gillian Anderson has responded to criticism after urging fans who sit in the front row of her West End stage appearances to stop doing so, describing them as distracting. Her remarks drew backlash online, with people debating whether her comments were reasonable for a live performer or dismissive of theatregoers who pay premium prices for those seats.
Why now: A well-known actress publicly criticised her own audience and then had to address the resulting backlash.
