Original: US bombers redeployed to home bases after RAF Fairford terror attack probe
US B-52 and other strategic bombers stationed at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England, have been redeployed back to their home bases in the United States. The move came as British and US authorities investigate a suspected terror attack plot linked to the base. The withdrawal ends a period of high-profile bomber operations from the UK airfield, and officials have not detailed the threat that prompted the pullback.
