The Pentagon is withdrawing B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford in the UK, a move officials described as rushed. The withdrawal comes days after five men were arrested in connection with a suspected terror plot reportedly linked to the base. The timing has raised questions about whether the arrests and the abrupt departure of the aircraft are connected, though US and UK authorities have not confirmed any direct link between the two events.

Why now: The bombers' withdrawal came just days after the arrest of five men over a suspected terror plot, prompting speculation about a connection.
