A free fan-made game called Resident Evil: Survive has appeared on Game Jolt, reimagining the Capcom horror franchise as a retro arcade-style beat 'em up. A gamer shared the download link, half-joking about not knowing why they grabbed it. Fans of the series are drawn to unofficial retro mashups like this, though Capcom has a history of taking down fan projects.
Why now: Fans are sharing a quirky free fan game that mashes Resident Evil with classic arcade beat 'em up gameplay.
