Leicestershire regain eight points in pitch deduction row
Original: County Championship: Leicestershire have eight points reinstated from 27-point deduction for poor pitch blamed on Bollywood film shoot
Leicestershire have had eight of their 27-point County Championship deduction reinstated following an appeal. The full penalty had been imposed after a pitch at Grace Road was judged poor, with the club attributing the damage to a Bollywood film shoot that took place at the ground. The ruling partially restores their position in the division.
Why now: The unusual cause of the pitch damage, a Bollywood film shoot, makes the case stand out, and the points appeal affects the County Championship table.
