Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan have discussed efforts to end Sudan's war, according to Yeni Safak English. The talks focus on ways to bring an end to the fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, which has displaced millions and caused one of the world's worst humanitarian crises since it began in April 2023.
Why now: Sudan's devastating war and regional diplomatic efforts to end it remain a major concern for Egypt and its neighbours.
