Steve Oram on his gentler role in Crushed
Original: "You turn up and you expect to see [actors] doing their thing, whatever that thing is. Mine's probably hitting them over
British actor Steve Oram, known for loud, abrasive characters, has been discussing his role in the film Crushed. Asked about playing against type, he joked that his usual job is "hitting them over the head with a stick and shouting," and said it was "lovely" to take on something gentler this time. The remarks come from a new feature interview as Crushed reaches audiences.
Why now: A new interview with the recognisable character actor is drawing attention for his witty take on playing against type.
