IPv6 Adoption Still Lagging, Tech Community Laments
Original: Ironic to me that #IPV6 connects more of us together by shared passion for deployment rather than actually connecting us
An IT professional has pointed out the irony that the IPv6 protocol, designed to connect devices worldwide with vastly expanded address space, instead unites people mainly through their shared frustration over its slow deployment. The remark reflects a long-running debate in networking circles about why adoption of the next-generation internet protocol remains incomplete decades after its introduction.
Why now: IPv6's famously slow rollout remains a running joke and genuine concern among network engineers.
