Original: Flydubai co-pilot ‘planned to crash plane into Israel airport building’
A Flydubai co-pilot is accused of planning to crash a passenger plane into a building at an Israeli airport, according to a report in The Australian. The claim, if confirmed, would amount to a foiled terrorist plot involving an active airline crew member. Details about the suspect's identity, arrest or the airline's response have not yet been reported.
Why now: Allegations of an insider terrorism plot involving a commercial airline crew member are rare and alarming, drawing immediate international attention.
