Nearly 1,400 laid off at Ohio truck factory days before Trump rally
Original: Trump kills jobs. Period. A gut punch in Ohio: Nearly 1,400 laid off at truck factory just days before Trump rally https
A truck manufacturing plant in Ohio is laying off nearly 1,400 workers, with the cuts landing just days before a Trump rally in the state. Critics are linking the job losses to Trump-era trade and tariff policies, arguing the layoffs undercut his claims of bringing manufacturing jobs back. Supporters have not broadly responded in the available discussion, and the company's stated reasons for the layoffs remain unclear from current coverage.
Why now: The timing of mass layoffs right before a Trump rally in the same state fuels political debate over his economic record.
