Used CPU Bought Second-Hand Gets New Owner Banned From Valorant
Original: Used Ryzen 7 5800X3D Gets Buyer Locked Out of Valorant Due to Previous Owner's Cheating
A buyer of a second-hand Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, purchased through the German classifieds site Kleinanzeigen, found themselves locked out of Valorant because the chip's hardware serial was banned after the previous owner cheated in the game. Why now: Gamers are debating whether hardware bans are fair when they unfairly punish innocent buyers of used PC parts.
