The UK Ministry of Defence has raised objections to four windfarm projects in the past year, citing concerns that turbines could interfere with military radar systems. The objections add a fresh obstacle to renewable energy developers, as radar interference is a recurring sticking point in Britain's efforts to expand offshore and onshore wind capacity. The report is prompting debate over how to balance defence needs with the UK's clean energy targets.
