tsc-ts

Vercel Labs has released tsc-ts, a TypeScript compiler written in TypeScript, hosted on GitHub. The project is drawing attention among developers on Hacker News, where it has quickly gathered engagement. A self-hosting compiler is a notable milestone, showing the language can handle its own toolchain implementation, and it is likely to spark comparisons with the existing JavaScript-based compiler.
