pomegranates

A home gardener shared a pomegranate plant grown from seed of a 'California White' parent, noting that pomegranates do not come true from seed, though unlike apples their seedlings are not vastly inferior to the parent. The resulting plant is clearly not white-fruited, showing the variation seed-grown pomegranates can produce.
