paper crane

Japanese comedy duo Sandwichman is in the news after Ida Mikio, currently on hiatus, sent a handwritten letter to his own radio show, which partner Tomizawa Takeshi read aloud. Ida said he needs a bit more time to recharge, while Tomizawa noted he has lost weight. The letter also mentioned 4,300 folded paper cranes sent to his home, prompting laughter in the studio. Reports note Ida also scolded Sugiyama of Wagaya, who is suspended over alleged shoplifting.
