Researchers have reported a hydrogel-confined environment that allows perovskite crystallization to work under water-compatible, aqueous conditions, according to a study published in Nature. The approach could ease fabrication of perovskite materials, which are widely pursued for next-generation solar cells, by reducing reliance on strictly anhydrous processing.
