dachshund

Swedish author and television presenter Hanna Hellquist has announced that her dachshund Ines has died. Major Swedish outlets including Expressen, Göteborgs-Posten and Aftonbladet all reported the news, describing her grief over the loss. Hellquist has often shared her life with Ines with the public, and readers have been responding with sympathy and condolences.

A court in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, has acquitted a dachshund whose owner faced proceedings after the dog bit a woman in Lippe. The unusual ruling that the dog itself was 'set free' by the court has drawn attention in Germany, with many amused that a small dachshund was formally cleared in a legal dispute over a bite incident.
