cucumber farming

A new report on agricultural robotics concludes that the main obstacle to automated cucumber harvesting is not the robots themselves but the shape and structure of cucumber plants. Dense foliage and irregular fruit placement make it hard for machines to find and grip cucumbers reliably. The finding suggests future efforts should focus on breeding plants suited to automation rather than only refining robot technology.
