binturong

Wildlife writers are describing one of the animal kingdom's odder creatures: an animal the size of a Labrador dog, with the look of a bear crossed with a pet cat, a human-like chuckle, and a distinctive popcorn-like scent. The binturong, native to South and Southeast Asian forests, is known for producing this smell from its scent glands, a quirk that continues to fascinate nature enthusiasts.
