Researchers have shown that a sticky alpine flower is carnivorous, confirming a prediction Charles Darwin made roughly 150 years ago about plants that trap and digest insects. The finding adds a new species to the known carnivorous plants and demonstrates how Darwin's observations of insect-trapping flora continue to hold up under modern scientific testing.
