Vernon Parish

Vernon Parish, Louisiana, has lifted its moratorium on solar farm development, reopening the parish to large-scale solar energy projects. The move follows a pause on approvals that had halted new solar development while officials reviewed regulations. Local attention is focused on what new projects may now be proposed and how the parish will balance energy development with land use concerns.
